Dieters in the US spend over $50 billion dollars annually on diet scams and programs and new moms are not immune to that. If you?re seeking a successful pregnancy weight loss program, then you might be tempted to turn to a quick fix diet. But many of those advertised products will only help you lose weight temporarily. But much like parenting, trying to lose the baby weight is a commitment.

To lose a pound a week, a mom will need to eat 3,500 fewer calories that the number of calories needed to maintain your ideal weight. If a weight loss program doesn?t include eating less and exercising more ? the tenants of healthy weight loss, then it?s most likely a fraud. No product can just make you lose weight.

Side effects can include gall stones and other serious health issues. The target for healthy weight loss is two pounds a week. Eat Cookies, Lose Weight ? Well it?s not that simple. Diets based on a single food can cause a nutritional imbalance leading to health risks. Plus they?re boring, so even if you do lose a few pounds, you?re more than likely to gain them back when you start to eat normally again. Alli ? Weight Loss Wonder Pill ? this might be a more of a partial scam if you?re trying for quick pregnancy weight loss. The pill helps block fat absorption from food, but that fat needs to go somewhere. It can leave you with gas, oily spotting and frequent bowel movements. Is this a product you could live with forever? Lose the fat without diet or exercise ? Well according to medical advice it?s pretty much impossible to lose weight without consuming fewer calories than your body needs. How do you do this? By eating less and moving more. This essentially means diet and exercise, so any product claiming otherwise is probably a scam.

Unfortunately there aren?t many shortcuts when it comes to pregnancy weight loss. Much like the time and effort it took to create your kids, it takes commitment to lose the baby weight. But with the right attitude and a desire to get back to your pre-pregnancy self you will be able to be a skinny mom again.
