HTC and Dropbox team up to offer 25GB of storage on all Sense 4.0 devices

Dropbox

Along with HTC's announcement of their One series devices, one thing that may have been overlooked while mulling the specs over was their new agreement with Dropbox. Previously, HTC was working with Dropbox to offer folks a free 5GB when using HTC devices but they've now bumped that up to 25GB free for 2-years:

Dropbox integrated with HTC Sense - HTC One gives you an easy way to save and share your photos and videos. HTC has integrated Dropbox into HTC Sense 4 enabling HTC One customers to get 25 gigabytes of free Dropbox space for two years. That’s enough to keep more than 10,000 high-quality photos. Dropbox is also integrated throughout HTC Sense 4, so it’s easy to edit, save and share your documents and other kinds of files.

We've gone through the process of explaining cloud storage services like Dropbox can be used for storing files, and now with it built-into Sense 4.0, it'll make things easier then ever.

Cantina Moctezuma: Mexican Food in Madrid ? Spanish Sabores

?The best Mexican restaurant in Madrid!?

Source

I saw those words and I had to investigate. I discovered an offer I couldn?t pass up at Cantina Moctezuma: For only 15? per person one could enjoy a lunch or dinner in ?the best Mexican restaurant in Madrid? with more than 14? worth of extras per person!?

This was the latest deal on the popular Spanish website Cucharete. If you live in Madrid, speak Spanish, and don?t use Cucharete for restaurant recommendations, check them out ASAP! Although long winded at times, they go into every last detail of their meal, show many photos, and provide the establishments with a rating. From what I?ve tried so far, their reviews have been pretty accurate. The site also seems to partner with restaurants from time to time to bring their readers special deals (which you don?t need to buy in advance like Groupons etc.).

When I read ?the best Mexican restaurant in Madrid? I was intrigued. I?d only tried two Mexican restaurants in Madrid prior, but both were extremely mediocre. According to Cucharete, Cantina Moctezuma was about to change my mind about Mexican food in Madrid.

So what is this Cucharete deal?

Well, until March 21st anyone who makes a reservation and mentions Cucharete is eligible for the following offer, as long as they spend at least 15? per person on food and drink:

- 2 Welcome Margaritas for free (worth 4,50? each)

- Modelo draft beers at 1? instead of 3?

- Cocktails at nearby Inuit Kafei for free (worth 7,60? each!)

It sounded like a great deal so Ale and I met for lunch to try it out. The restaurant is located only a short walk from either Sol or Tirso de Molina on a small side street. We went Thursday afternoon at 2:00 and it was completely empty so we had our choice of tables. The decor was cute and our waiter was really nice, serving us delicious, crispy tortilla chips with two different salsas. The welcome margaritas were excellent? the perfect amount of tangy citrus and not too sweet, with a spicy rim (my favorite!). I ended up drinking both, while Ale took advantage of the 1? beers, also refreshing in his opinion!

The tables were cute and bright!

The menu was varied with dishes from all over Mexico represented.? We would have liked to have tried everything, but ordered only two main dishes, as we were saving room for dessert. I knew before coming that I wanted to try the Chile en Nogada? a typical plate I?ve been fantasizing about ever since reading Like Water for Chocolate (one of my favorite books). Ale ordered the Huarache de Cochinita Pibil, which is something we had tried a few times while in Mexico so we were interested in how it would compare.

Chips and salsa to start!

When our plates came out the first thing that caught my attention was their size. I think that they were fairly small for their price (between 12 and 14 euros each). I was fairly certain that I might still be hungry after eating my lone stuffed chile!

Creamy Chiles en Nogada

Huarache de Cochinita Pibil

Both dishes were very good. Mine was the unique mix of sweet and savory that I had expected, although there was too little stuffed chile pepper and too much cream sauce in my opinion! I wasn?t full after eating it. Ale?s huarache was not at all like those we had tried in Mexico, but it was pretty good anyway. Again, he also could have eaten more.

The hot sauces they brought out for Ale were amazing, however! There was a smoky flavored chile and olive oil sauce that (while perhaps not very Mexican) was delicious. We also tried a super spicy habanero sauce. I inquired about where to buy them and they offered to wrap some up for us to take home (for 3,50?!) Despite the steep price for a tiny container of hot sauce, I accepted (they were that good!).

After lunch we wanted to have dessert and it was between the tres leches cake and the brownie. Cucharete had said that the brownie was one of the best he?d tried in Madrid and I was in a chocolate mood so I decided to try it. It was good? but I think I?ve had better at just about any chain restaurant in the US :( . Next time we?ll attempt the tres leches cake for sure!

Another star of our experience was the caf? de olla. It was black coffee infused with spices like cinnamon and clove and sweetened with brown sugar. It was a dessert in itself and a perfect way to end our meal.

Spiced coffee to end our meal.

Cucharete lists Cantina Moctezuma as a fairly inexpensive choice, but I?d have to disagree. We paid 38,00? for the two entrees, one hot sauce to go, the brownie, and the two coffees. Given that the Margaritas were free it was a great deal, but at full price I?m not so sure? It would definitely be better to have gone with more people to have been able to order and share more things!

But if you take advantage of Cucharete?s deal and go before March 21st it is an amazing offer. Not only do you get everything we?ve mentioned, but you can also stop by Kafei Inuit after lunch or dinner for two complimentary cocktails. We each ordered a caipirinha, which were mediocre at best, but their charming terrace in the middle of a narrow, old-fashioned street made it a refreshing and relaxing stop.

Enjoying caipirinhas on the terrace.

Would I return without the deal?

Probably. At full price it?s a bit expensive for me, but I?d definitely like to come back with a group and try more things. I?d also come back for the margaritas, hot sauce, and coffee alone!

So thank you Cucharete for the great write up, suggestions, and deal! I encourage everyone in Madrid to make a reservation at Cantina Moctezuma today!

Light-emitting nanocrystal diodes go ultraviolet

Monday, February 27, 2012

A multinational team of scientists has developed a process for creating glass-based, inorganic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that produce light in the ultraviolet range. The work, reported this week in the online Nature Communications, is a step toward biomedical devices with active components made from nanostructured systems.

LEDs based on solution-processed inorganic nanocrystals have promise for use in environmental and biomedical diagnostics, because they are cheap to produce, robust, and chemically stable. But development has been hampered by the difficulty of achieving ultraviolet emission. In their paper, Los Alamos National Laboratory's Sergio Brovelli in collaboration with the research team lead by Alberto Paleari at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy describe a fabrication process that overcomes this problem and opens the way for integration in a variety of applications.

The world needs light-emitting devices that can be applied in biomedical diagnostics and medicine, Brovelli said, either as active lab-on-chip diagnostic platforms or as light sources that can be implanted into the body to trigger some photochemical reactions. Such devices could, for example, selectively activate light-sensitive drugs for better medical treatment or probe for the presence of fluorescent markers in medical diagnostics. These materials would need to be fabricated cheaply, on a large scale, and integrated into existing technology.

The paper describes a new glass-based material, able to emit light in the ultraviolet spectrum, and be integrated onto silicon chips that are the principal components of current electronic technologies.

The new devices are inorganic and combine the chemical inertness and mechanical stability of glass with the property of electric conductivity and electroluminescence (i.e. the ability of a material to emit light in response to the passage of an electric current).

As a result, they can be used in harsh environments, such as for immersion into physiologic solutions, or by implantation directly into the body. This was made possible by designing a new synthesis strategy that allows fabrication of all inorganic LEDs via a wet-chemistry approach, i.e. a series of simple chemical reactions in a beaker. Importantly, this approach is scalable to industrial quantities with a very low start-up cost. Finally, they emit in the ultraviolet region thanks to careful design of the nanocrystals embedded in the glass.

In traditional light-emitting diodes, light emission occurs at the sharp interface between two semiconductors. The oxide-in-oxide design used here is different, as it allows production of a material that behaves as an ensemble of semiconductor junctions distributed in the glass.

This new concept is based on a collection of the most advanced strategies in nanocrystal science, combining the advantages of nanometric materials consisting of more than one component. In this case the active part of the device consists of tin dioxide nanocrystals covered with a shell of tin monoxide embedded in standard glass: by tuning the shell thickness is it possible to control the electrical response of the whole material.

Eating Disorders

The reported incidence of eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and compulsive overeating has grown immensely in recent years. Because the nature of these illnesses is such that sufferers are secretive in their habits, however, it is probably fair to say that their prevalence is much higher than anyone would care to admit. Without help though, these individuals typically live their lives with profound feelings of helplessness, fear, low self-esteem and a lack of control over their own lives which is only perpetuated by the illness. In many cases, they find themselves feeling hopelessly isolated and sometimes eating disorders can lead to tragic consequences.

Eating disorders are complex by nature, but at Los Olivos, you will find some of Europe?s most eminent experts in these illnesses. Having worked for many years in this specialist field, they have successfully steered literally thousands of patients to recovery using their integrated approach to treatment.

As a multidisciplinary team, they are able to offer everything from full medical treatment to the finest standards in psychotherapy and counselling.

The philosophy of the team at Los Olivos is founded upon treating the human being who is suffering from the illness, rather than just treating the illness itself, and this is achieved through high levels of personalised care and customised treatment programmes which are designed to restore patients to full physical, emotional and psychological health and allow them to live much happier, healthier and successful lives in which the chances of relapse are extremely low.

Although every single case involving an eating disorder is totally unique, in many cases the illness develops as a result of very deep-rooted emotional problems which began in the patient?s earlier years. Facing and dealing with these issues is typically extremely painful and disturbing for the individual concerned, and so it is essential that the environment in which he or she is treated is one in which they feel safe, secure and supported. At Los Olivos, our patients benefit from a tranquil family environment in which they can focus on their recovery without distraction and in which they are assured of the highest standards of personalised care.

The holistic approach taken by our team is not only designed to deal with the direct symptoms and behaviours associated with the eating disorder, but also the underlying emotional and psychological difficulties which caused and perpetuated it. In this way, the time spent at Los Olivos and provided through our excellent aftercare service provides patients with the tools for long-lasting recovery.

Buffett's Berkshire posts 30 pct drop in earnings

(AP) ? A drop in the paper value of the financial instruments known as derivatives hurt profits at Berkshire Hathaway Inc., the conglomerate run by billionaire investor Warren Buffett.

Some of its subsidiaries performed well enough to offset some of the losses. Buffett detailed the company's 2011 performance Saturday in his annual letter to shareholders.

Berkshire reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.05 billion, or $1,846 per Class A share. That was down from $4.4 billion net income, or $2,656 per share, a year ago.

Berkshire's profit fell short of the $1,875 per share expected by the four analysts surveyed by FactSet, a provider of financial data. Quarterly revenue grew 5 percent to $37.96 billion from last year's $36.17 billion.

The biggest difference in the quarter was the change in estimated value of Berkshire's investments and derivative contracts. That fell to $382 million this year from last year's $1.4 billion.

Derivatives are complex investments that have been blamed in part for the 2008 financial crisis and the recession. Berkshire's derivatives are designed to operate like insurance policies, with some covering the risk of bond defaults by certain companies and some covering whether certain stock market indexes will be lower 15 or 20 years in the future.

Buffett reiterated Saturday that he believes Berkshire's derivative contracts will ultimately prove profitable, but he said the company doesn't plan to write any more major derivative contracts. Buffett said he does not want Berkshire to deal with new requirements for how much collateral companies must post when they hold derivatives.

For 2011, Berkshire generated $10.3 billion in net income, or $6,215 per Class A share, down from nearly $13 billion, or $7,928 per share, in 2010.

Strength in the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad, MidAmerican Energy, and the Marmon Group helped offset insurance underwriting losses related to catastrophes like the Japan tsunami. Newly acquired chemical maker Lubrizol added $1.7 billion in revenues to Berkshire since September.

Stockbroker Andy Kilpatrick, who wrote "Of Permanent Value: The Story of Warren Buffett," said Buffett managed to outperform the overall market in a tough year for Berkshire's insurance and housing-related subsidiaries.

"It was not a great year, but he still beat the S&P. It's still an incredible moneymaking machine," Kilpatrick said.

Buffett's preferred measure of Berkshire's performance is the growth in its book value, which is a calculation of the company's assets minus its liabilities. Buffett said Berkshire's book value grew 4.6 percent to $99,860 per share in 2011. The S&P 500, which Berkshire is part of, gained 2.1 percent last year when dividends were factored in.

Berkshire owns roughly 80 subsidiaries, including clothing, furniture and jewelry companies, but its insurance and utility businesses typically account for more than half the company's net income. It also has major investments in such companies as Coca-Cola, IBM and Wells Fargo.

MVCC buying church property

Updated: February 24, 2012 8:08PM

Moraine Valley Community College is buying a church directly east of its Palos Hills campus and will convert the building into classroom space.

Moraine Valley Community Church, which approached the college about buying the building and land, will lease space in a Worth church to hold services, Pastor Mike Rotman said.

The college is paying $825,000 for the church and the five acres it sits on, according to Rotman and Mark Horstmeyer, a spokesman for the college.

Horstmeyer said the college hasn?t yet determined the types of classes that will be held in the church building, or how extensive of a renovation will be needed.

The church, 8601 W. 107th Place, sees the sale as a financial necessity.

?We are small and struggling financially, and we needed the income the sale would provide to continue as a congregation,? Rotman said.

March 11 will be the last service in the current building. After that, Moraine Valley will hold worship services in United Methodist Church of Worth, he said.

The Methodist church, 7100 W. 112th St., will hold its Sunday service at 9 a.m., and Rotman?s church at 11 a.m.

Moraine Valley?s food pantry, Elsie?s Pantry, will remain in Palos Hills, locating in early May to Savior Divine Lutheran Church, 10040 S. 88th Ave., Rotman said.

Horstmeyer said the college already owns property abutting the church, including a parking lot and a former golf driving range.

A contract for the purchase was signed Wednesday but the college won?t close on the deal until June, Rotman said.

?It?s difficult that we have to sell and leave our building, but now we are in two communities rather than just one,? he said, referring to the pantry remaining in Palos Hills.

The Central Library is the mothership of the city's library system and the best place go for research materials and assistance. Cranston libraries have the highest circulation of all public libraries in the state.?

The Central Library opened in 1983 to address the city's need for a large, centralized ?location to administer the city's five other libraries. It also allowed for a consolidated and much larger reference section than what was available at the smaller branches.?

What this building makes up for in architectural charm is size. A library-lover's dream, the rows for fiction, nonfiction, teen fiction and children's books seem to never end. The plethora of music and movies available on CD and DVD rival the best music or movie shops. The magazine display is similar to a duty-free newsstand in the gate of an airport. ?There is ample space to study, plenty of computer terminals, and lots of places to sit and read. Posted signs warn visitors that the library is not a public tutoring place, dissuading a clamorous atmosphere.?

Cranston libraries have kept pace with technology. Download stations are available at each library to borrow mp3s, audiobooks and e-books to use on iPads, iPhones and other readers. The same service is offered online, making a vast selection of media available without the trip to and from the library. There's even a mobile app available, making it easy to browse and check the availability of titles from a smartphone.

Study: Candidates' plans lead to huge deficits

(AP) ? Huge tax cuts in the budget plans of Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum would produce the kinds of trillion-dollar-plus deficits that the GOP candidates are blaming on President Barack Obama.

That's the finding by the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a Washington-based budget watchdog group.

The study also says the more modest tax and spending plans of Mitt Romney wouldn't make a dent in deficits that are on track to average $800 billion or so a year over the coming decade under current trends and policies ? and could add to them considerably.

Only Ron Paul, who calls for wrenching budget cuts that dwarf anything proposed by his three rivals, would reduce the flow of red ink. But even Paul's plan would leave in place a deficit in the $500 billion range by the end of his first term.

The candidates' budget plans provide a sharp contrast with those of President Barack Obama, who released his latest fiscal blueprint just last week. Like Obama, the GOP candidates have the luxury of suspending political reality and assuming lawmakers would quickly enact their ideas into law.

That translates into a tax code in which taxes on investments and capital gains are sharply reduced or eliminated. Each Republican candidate would eliminate inheritance taxes on large estates. And tax rates on individuals would be cut as well ? all in the face of deficits that economists say would eventually cripple the economy.

The results, according to the study, would be higher deficits, except in the case of Paul, whose proposed cuts to the military and other programs make even tea partyers blanche.

According to the study, Gingrich's plan would add $7 trillion to the nation's debt over the coming nine years ? almost doubling the deficits that would be recorded if the government basically ran on autopilot. Santorum's plan would add $4.5 trillion over the period, or about $500 billion to the deficit every year on average.

By contrast, Romney's proposal would add $250 billion to the deficit over nine years, though that estimate was generated before he unveiled a new tax plan this week that could add considerably to the deficit.

By the end of fiscal 2016, little more than a month before Election Day, Gingrich's plan would produce a deficit of 7.8 percent of the economy, or almost $1.5 trillion. Santorum's blueprint would produce a deficit in the $1.2 trillion range, or 6.5 percent of gross domestic product, or GDP. And Romney's plan ? given the benefit of the doubt since his new tax plan is so vague ? would generate a 2016 deficit of $700 billion to $800 billion or so.

Obama's budget claims a $649 billion deficit by 2016, relying on tax increases to do it.

The group didn't publish specific deficit figures for 2016 but provided estimates of them as a percentage of GDP to The Associated Press, which calculated them based on the GDP estimates of the Congressional Budget Office.

Paul's budget plans include eliminating five Cabinet departments, immediately ending operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and sharply cutting federal programs like Medicaid and food stamps. It would reduce the deficit by $2.2 trillion over nine years. He is the only candidate whose spending cuts exceed the amount of revenue lost by cutting taxes.

The four GOP candidates vying to replace Obama each promise sweeping tax cuts, even as the deficit under current policies would never fall below $600 billion over the coming decade.

Gingrich, for example, would give taxpayers the option of a 15 percent flat tax rate, while Santorum promises to reduce the current five-bracket system to two, with rates of 28 percent and 10 percent. Each idea would mean trillions of dollars less in revenue for the government.

Romney's latest tax plan would cut the top income tax rate from 35 percent to 28 percent and the other rates by 20 percent each, paid for by broadening the tax base and eliminating numerous deductions. But the plan lacks sufficient specifics to be estimated with any precision.

The candidates' ambitious budget plans contrast with GOP leaders in Congress, who have focused on retaining the full menu of Bush-era tax cuts rather than attempting to cut taxes further ? and have opened the door to higher tax revenues as part of a comprehensive deficit-cutting deal.

Last week, Obama proposed tax increases of almost $2 trillion over the coming decade ? chiefly by ending Bush-era cuts on individual income exceeding $200,000 a year and family income exceeding $250,000.

The budget group's advisers include many Democratic deficit hawks and Republicans unafraid to advocate for higher taxes. The group acknowledged plenty of wiggle room in the study since many of the candidates' proposals are vague or haven't been reviewed by official sources, like the CBO.

The Tax Policy Center, a respected joint project of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, provided the basis for many of the estimates of the candidates' tax proposals.

The group offers three scenarios for each candidate, which incorporated different assumptions that depend on how vague or specific a candidate's proposals are. The group chiefly trumpeted an "intermediate" scenario that represented the group's best estimate of the candidate's budget plans.

By contrast, the Gingrich campaign on Thursday produced an estimate by a friendly economist that predicts his budget would balance by the end of his first term and that economic growth under his supply-side tax cuts would average 4.4 percent a year over the coming decade, far higher than predicted by the budget group.

Man must apologize to wife on Facebook: court

13 hrs.

A man with a record of domestic violence has been ordered by a Cincinnati court to apologize to his victim -- his estranged wife -- on Facebook for comments he made on the social network.

NBC-affiliate WLWT in Cincinnati reported on the unusual order, made to Mark Byron in lieu of serving 60 days in jail and paying a $500 fine for violating a temporary protection order granted to his soon-to-be ex-wife, Elizabeth Byron, for being found guilty in June of civil domestic violence against her.

On his Facebook page, Mark Byron, a photographer, had posted a portrait of himself with the couple's young son, and amongst the comments, he wrote this:?

"If you are an evil, vindictive woman who wants to ruin your husband's life and take your son's father away from him completely -- all you need to do is say that you're scared of your husband or domestic partner and they'll take him away!"

Although he blocked his estranged spouse from his page, she was able to see the photo post and the comments below it, and filed a successful motion that he violated the protection order, which prohibited him from "from causing plaintiff or the child of the parties to suffer physical and/or mental abuse, harassment, annoyance or bodily injury."

As a result,?magistrate Paul Meyers sentenced Mark Byron to the jail time and fine on Jan. 25, but added a clause that allowed the man to avoid going behind bars and paying that fine if he would pay back child support and post an apology on Facebook for 30 days, beginning Feb. 13. During that time, Elizabeth Byron or one of her friends has to be given access to check and make sure it's there.

Here is the?apology, which addresses Elizabeth Byron's concern about being seen in an unfavorable light in regards to allowing visitation to their son.

Play out your life on Facebook, and sometimes the long arm of the law will step in to make sure you're playing by the rules.

Today most of the financial advisors who work independently discover that running a business has become rather tricky. An extra barrier is that the clientele are now looking for professional and high-quality services. In addition to this, running a trade has turned out to be expensive. Consequently advisors are now probing for ways and means to save expenses and are on the lookout for different methods. Due to this there is a spurt of financial advisors outsourcing their administration work for meeting the reality as well as the demands of the altering business methods.

In order to boost their earnings, consultative companies should either employ personnel or opt for an outsourcing way out that will have management posts, technical and as well as administrative staff for working for their development. Moreover the expenditure for attracting and retaining the most excellent staff adds to the difficulties for most of the financial advisors for effective management of their business due to the expense involved in running and operating costs which become too much if it is compared to the present competitive market where pressures are made for reduction of fees, and ultimately reduction in profit.

Quinn questions Tebow's humility

NFL Honors And Pepsi Rookie Of The YearGetty Images

On those two or three occasions per year when the folks at GQ decide to chime in on football, my initial reaction is (to borrow a phrase from Brandon Jacobs) ?stay cute and shut up.?? Most of the time, however, there?s something in there worth repeating.

Especially when the author is our good friend Michael Silver.? Who has rarely been called ?cute? and who even more rarely shuts up.

Silver has compiled an ?oral history? of Tim Tebow.? Since I?m finally forcing myself to trudge through the clumsy, narrative-challenged oral history of ESPN, I was prepared to ping-pong from quote to quote in the hopes of trying to find something instructive and/or entertaining from the broader item.

The new quotes loosely track Tebow?s first almost-full season as a starter.? Here are the ones that stuck out.? For those of you who received your ?I read the 750 pages of the ESPN book and all I got was this lousy T-shirt? T-shirts, it?ll be a snap (relatively speaking) to breeze through the whole thing.

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has the most insightful comment of anyone.? (Yes, that?s the first time that specific sentence has ever been uttered in all of human history.)? ?You know what the coolest part about the whole thing is?? Allen says.? ?And the reason people hate it?? Because it?s showing that the conventional wisdom of coaches isn?t really necessary.? You know, coaches always think they have the winning theory: ?Our way is the right way!? Blah blah blah!?? Well, here?s a dude that they basically had to scrap the whole offense for and go back to running a college [system].? And they have been successful with it.? Sometimes people think the game is more difficult than it is.? If you find something that works, go with it.? And I don?t really think it has to be a nine-syllable frickin? play.?

ESPN?s Trent Dilfer wades gingerly, until the last part, into the murky waters of the religious aspect of Tebowmania.? ?I don?t have a problem with what Tim Tebow?s doing with [his outspoken Christianity]. I?ve seen him try to articulate why he has the belief and why he believes the things he does, in a very easy way to understand.? He?s not the guy, when the cameras are put in his face, saying, you know, ?Praise to God, because he supernaturally let that ball hit my receiver!?? You know what I mean?? But he?s up-front with it, and he makes many people uncomfortable.? I do have a problem with what the Christian community is doing with his faith, that they are almost becoming a cult following.? I think it?s an ?us? problem, not a ?him? problem.?

Dilfer ultimately is right.? Tebow never has tried to suggest that there?s an Angels in the Outfield component to his success.? But others ? and there are many, and they are zealous ? firmly believe that something more than human is making good things happen for Tebow and the Broncos.? (Except, of course, when they play the Patriots.)

It doesn?t help that guys like Kurt Warner are trying to make the Tebow story into a real-life David-and-Goliath tale.? ?To me, it?s a biblical story,? Warner explains.? ?That?s what the Bible?s full of: ordinary guys who are able to accomplish extraordinary things, not by their own strength and might but by God?s hands coming with them.? And I think it?s very similar to my story and what people took from me going from a grocery-store clerk to a Super Bowl champion.?

The difference between Warner and Tebow is that Warner ultimately got a chance to demonstrate his abilities as a high-level passer.? Tebow is succeeding without those skills, and he?s desperately trying to establish them in order to keep his job.? That?s what V.P. of football operations John Elway wants to see.

?I get encouraged when I see him working within the system and throwing on time, with good feet. That, to me, is where he?s getting better,? Elway says.? ?Consistency and accuracy is gonna come when he gets consistent with his feet.? It?s like a pitcher: The front foot comes down on the same spot every single time. He?s just never really worked on that.?

Former teammate Brandon Lloyd, when asked what Tebow needs to do to become an elite passer on Monday?s PFT Live, had a slightly different focus.? ?I think that what he needs to do is what every quarterback does,? Lloyd said.? ?It?s about the classroom when it comes to being a quarterback.? Understanding how defenses are covering the offense versus the plays and routes that are being run is over half the battle, because then you can have that anticipation and that timing and then you?re not guessing where you?re throwing the ball. . . .? It?s the ability to understand what the defense is doing when you?re going under center on that particular play and understanding the grand scheme of what they?re trying to do to stop you.?

Regardless of what Tebow needs to do to get there, Elway knows that, if Tebow can, everyone in the organization will benefit.

?He has changed the culture of that locker room. The way he handles his life, the way he is with people, the way he is with media ? everybody wants to fight over what he is on the football field, but for the NFL, for the Denver Broncos, he?s perfect,? Elway says.? ?He?s a great kid.? You know, people want him to be successful.? And so do I.? Everybody in this building does, too. If he?s the guy that can be our guy for ten, fifteen years, that?s a hell of a deal for us.?

Elway should rethink calling it a ?hell? of a deal.? Unless, of course, the only way Tebow can ever get to where he needs to be entails doing a deal with the devil.? And/or Don Draper.
